Diabetes verstehen, vorbeugen und handeln!


Diabetes mellitus - umgangssprachlich „Zuckerkrankheit“ - ist eine chronische Stoffwechselerkrankung. Bei Diabetes kann der Körper den Zucker (Glukose) aus dem Blut nicht mehr richtig in die Körperzellen aufnehmen. Dadurch steigt der Blutzucker- spiegel an.


Damit unser Körper Energie aus Zucker gewinnen kann, benötigt er Insulin, ein Hormon,
das in der Bauchspeicheldrüse gebildet wird. Funktioniert diese Regulation nicht mehr
richtig, entsteht Diabetes.


Es gibt unterschiedliche Formen von Diabetes:


Typ-1-Diabetes: Das Immunsystem zerstört die insulinproduzierenden Zellen. Der Körper kann kein Insulin mehr bilden.Betroffene müssen Insulin zuführen.

Typ-2-Diabetes: Die Körperzellen reagieren unempfindlich auf Insulin (Insulinresistenz). Haufig spielt Lebensstil eine Rolle - aber auch genetische Faktoren sind entscheidend.

Schwangerschaftsdiabetes (Gestationsdiabetes): Tritt erstmals während der Schwangerschaft auf und verschwindet
                           meist danach wieder.

 

Woran erkenne ich Diabetes?

Typische Anzeichen können sein:

· ausgeprägter Durst:
· häufiges Wasserlassen
· Müdigkeit oder Leistungsschwäche
· unerklärliche Gewichtsveränderungen
. langsam heilende Wunden

Alle Formen sind ernst, lassen sich aber mit moderner Therapie, gesunder Lebensweise und guter Begleitung wirksam kontrollieren. So bleibt Lebensqualität langfristig erhalten.

Ich begleite Sie mit Fachwissen, moderner Diagnostik und viel Zeit für Ihre Fragen - damit
Sie Diabetes verstehen und im Alltag sicher damit umgehen können.

Dafür ist es wichtig zu den vereinbarten Terminen immer aktuelle Laborbefunde, das Blutzucker-Tagebuch und wichtige Fremdbefunde aus Krankenhaus oder von anderen Fachärzten mitzubringen. Außerdem sollten sie in das DMP-Diabetes Programm der Krankenkasse eingeschrieben sein.
