Impfberatung

Auf dem Gebiet der Impfprävention haben sich in den vergangenen zwanzig Jahren zwei gegenläufige Entwicklungen abgezeichnet. Einerseits hat der Erfolg der Massenimpfungen gegen früher allgegenwärtige Erkrankungen wie Diphtherie und Polio diese in unseren Breiten fast zum Verschwinden gebracht. Die Folge ist eine Art Impfmüdigkeit auf Seiten der Patienten wie auch der Ärzte.

Andererseits macht die rasante Entwicklung neuer Impfstoffe das Feld immer unübersichtlicher. Viele Patienten kommen nicht in den Genuss eines wirksamen Schutzes vor Erkrankungen.

Deshalb steht die Impfprävention im Vordergund. Imfpungen können jederzeit durchgeführt werden. Impfempfehlungen gibt die ständige Impfkommission des Robert-Koch-Institutes (STIKO), ebenfalls werden hier Vorschläge zu Reiseimpfungen gemacht.

Zu den Standard-Impfungen zählen:

- Tetanus-Diphtherie-Polio-Pertussis (Keuchhusten)

- FSME

- Masern-Mumps-Röteln

- Penumokokken (ab 60)

- Herpes zoster -Gürtelrose- (ab 60)

- Covid

- Influenza

Ziel der Impfung:

  1. Ein individueller Schutz, z.B. bei allgemeiner Bedrohung durch eine Infektion (z.B. Tetanus)
  2. Die Ausrottung eines Erregers: durch Unterbrechung aller Infektionsketten. Dazu ist eine Impfung der gesamten Bevölkerung notwendig (z.B. Pocken).
  3. Die Eindämmung einer Epidemie: durch Massenimpfung aller potentiellen Kontaktpersonen (z.B. Meningokokkenimpfung, Covid).
  4. Die Reduzierung eines speziellen Risikos (z.B. FSME, Gürtelrose (Herpes zoster)).
  5. Der Schutz vor Spätkomplikationen (z.B. Hepatitis B soll Leberzellkarzinome verhindern).
  6. Der Vermeidung eines Übertragungsstatus (z.B. Hepatitis B von Neugeborenen infektiöser Mütter).
