Lungenfunktionsprüfung

Spirometrie = Lungenfunktionsprüfung

Als Lungenfunktion wird die physiologische oder pathologische Funktion der Lunge als Organ für den Gasaustausch des Menschen bezeichnet. In der Medizin hat sich der Begriff Lungenfunktion (Lufu) als Sammelbegriff für verschiedene Untersuchungsverfahren des Lungenvolumens eingebürgert.

Als Spirometrie oder auch Spirographie wird das medizinische Verfahren zur Messung und Aufzeichnung des Atem- bzw. Lungenvolumens bezeichnet. Dabei können das Gesamt-Lungenvolumen und einzelne Teile sowie die Veränderungen im Laufe des Atemzyklus bestimmt werden. Diese Ventilationsgrößen können mittles Spirometrie gemessen werden.

Der Patient atmet bei dieser Untersuchung bei verschlossener Nasenatmung auf Anweisung einer Fachkraft über ein Mundstück in den Spirometer ein und aus.

Wertigkeit:

  • Anhand der Ventilationsgrößen können Rückschlüsse auf eine Lungenerkrankung, z.B. COPD oder Asthma bronchiale, gezogen werden. Bei bestehender Diagnose COPD oder Asthma bronchiale sind regelmäßige Lungenfunktiosprüfungen zur Verlaufskontrolle und Therapieeinstellung erforderlich.
